AutoHotkey provides a quite great macro recorder available as a useful device with it, namely AutoScriptWriter.
There will be a menu item for it, but if you can't find it appear in the installation folder. The documented macros may need some enhancement by hand, but are usually a quite good begin.
The best industrial one we attempted is certainly Jitbit Macro Recorder. It can actually put together macros to EXE data files.

Eventcorderis definitely a great one, but I can't get it to function on Vista, but it works fine on WinXP. It'beds functionality is certainly like Jitbit. I think edition 2.0.44 will be still free.
